Transport businessmen and private vehicle users experience petrol easily available in black market than form the pumps. It is difficult to stay in queue for long period, however, they get very negligible quantity. If they buy from black market, it is little expensive, however, they get the required quantity in time.

“Police and big shots themselves are the reasons for increasing the price of the fuel in black market. We are compelled to pay Rs.250 /Rs.300 per litre.” says driver Rajkumar Lama. “They bring it by bus and I have paid up to Rs.150 per kg.” says driver Surya Bahadur Lama. Public and riders and drivers have blamed that the government personnel, instead of managing the existing fuel, are involved in its black-market.

They have openly blamed that the black market existed by releasing the petrol from renowned petrol pumps like Sajha, Nepal Police, Armed Police and Nepal Army’s Petrol Pumps. They have strongly opposed the misuse of power of police and army as public have to wait for four days in queue to get 10 litre petrol; however, some are getting 5,000 litre without any effort because of relation. Public have openly blamed the police, traffic and army for the abuse of power.
