As the constitution making process is speeding up, some Constituent assembly members have registered a proposal to amend the national flag and national animal. Amendment proposals are being registered for a week, starting from Sunday. National flag which is popular worldwide for its distinct shape is also proposed to amend in the new constitution.

National flag of Nepal is combination of two single pennons with the sun and the crescent moon.  CA members of Rastriya Jana Mukti Party- Shiva Lal Thapa and Seema KumarI BK registered for the amendment of the National flag.  The flag was adopted, with the formation of a new constitutional government, on December 16, 1962. But the CA members of Rastriya Jana Mukti Party have proposed 52 points to be amended in the new constitution.
