UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal describes the constitution promulgation through the Constituent Assembly once in an eon opportunity. He was addressing a mass meeting organized by the three party leaders in Tundikhel in Kathmandu.“We ended the tradition of handing down constitution by a select committee,” said Dahal.
He said that a lot of issues raised by the Madhesi parties have been addressed and the remaining can be addressed through dialogue.From federalism to citizenship issues, Madhesis have gained the most, said Dahal“I assure you that you will find me an ally for all your genuine concerns,” Dahal said urging the Madhesi leaders for a negotiated settlement.He thanked Nepal’s friends and neighbours for their support. He said that all Nepalis want to be a good friend and neighbour to India and never a “yes man.” I am confident that the government and people of India will appreciate this fact.
