She stole £13,000 compensation awarded to her daughter after she was molested by her stepdad to become Britain’s youngest mum. Chantelle Jones, now 21, became Britain’s youngest mother at age of 12. As a young girl she became pregnant after her mother’s partner molested her.
She was awarded £22,000 compensation following the horrific assault.This money was paid to her mother in a trust account. But Ms Jones only received a total of £9,000 of the victim support money. She says her mother, Beverley Bale, blew £10,000 on wedding to new lover. A woman who was molested and impregnated by her mother’s lover when she was 11 years old has accused her mum of blowing her victim compensation money on a wedding. Thus she has become Britain’s youngest mother who gave birth in 2006. She was molested by her stepdad twice. She would receive £15,000 in compensation when she turned 21, she was shocked to be handed only £2,000 - and claims her mother spent £10,000 of it on a wedding.
As Ms Jones was under 18 when the compensation money was awarded, it was paid to her mother to look after on her behalf. But Ms Jones told the Sunday People her 45-year-old mother gave her £7,000 on her 18th birthday, but told her the remainder of the £22,000 could not be handed over until her 21st birthday. When that date arrived, she received only £2,000. Thus the incident presents the horrific news of Jones who was molested by her own stepdad but he claimed to provide compensation of £22,000 but her mother gave her only £2000.
