At least 17 policemen and three protesters were reported dead in Tikapur following the clash between the security personnel and protesters during the Tharuhat protest in Kailali district that turned into a battlefield on Monday afternoon.

Speaking on the phone, assistant Chief District Officer of Kailali district, Udayabahadur Thakuri said that the local authority has learnt about the death of 17 policemen and three protesters. Nevertheless, he said that the information was yet to be confirmed. Thakuri said that the detail of the incident will take some time to be confirmed.
