The United States Army (USA) is the biggest branch of the United States Armed Forces and performs area based military operations. It is one of the seven Uniformed administrations of the United States, and is assigned as the "Armed force (or Armies) of the United States" in the United States Constitution, Article 2, Section 2, Clause 1 and United States Code, Title 10, Subtitle B, Chapter 301, Section 3001. As the biggest and senior branch of the U.S. military, the cutting edge U.S. Armed force has its roots in the Continental Army, which was shaped (14 June 1775) to battle the American Revolutionary War (1775–83)— preceding the U.S. was set up as a country.[6] After the Revolutionary War, the Congress of the Confederation made the United States Army on 3 June 1784, to supplant the disbanded Continental Army.[7][8] The United States Army sees itself as slid from the Continental Army, and dates its institutional beginning from the source of that equipped power in 1775.[6]
